Oncorhynchus mykiss

It was a beautiful spring day for a trip to the Glen Haffy Conservation Area....
Fishing with C 029i
C invited me to tag along with her and the fam for some fishing last week...

Fishing with C 011
She had just got back from her great adventure and what better way for us to catch up than over a lazy day by the fishing hole.... I hadn't fished in ages, but I hadn't lost the touch if I do say so myself....
Fishing with C 067
Helloh.... what's that then.... I think it's a Oncorhynchus mykiss.... say what? English please: a Rainbow Trout....
Fishing with C 013i
She's a bute....
Fishing with C 003ii
Okay, it only LOOKS small from that angle....
Fishing with C 068
See, it's actually pretty big...Get in my belly, so I can digest you.... click on fishy's eye a few times to see what happened before it got into my belly for the purposes of digestion....

Thanks again C, and thanks for the pics of yours truly.... just let me know when I can come with again....

Go fish folks!

Love your pictures. It does look like a perfect day! We also had a beautiful day. We're on the border of Utah and Idaho. My husband dropped a line in the water but nothing was biting for us. We really didn't care- we'll have burgers for dinner. :) So congrats to you for the big catch!

Oooh, a biiig fish, Angelo...lol. I hope it tasted good.

I prefer saltwater fish, more tasty I find. Never mind, it's the getting them that's fun, either fresh or saltwater.

It looks a beautiful place you went to and how nice to see blue skies...even if it is in a photo.

Purrs to Nermal from Mitzi & Bella.

Lady Julie: Thanks Lady Julie! Glad you had a beautiful day too. It would've been nicer had my catch been a little bigger :) But I would've been happy having burgers for dinner too :) Cheers!

Puss-in-Boots: haha ya, it was the best rainbow trout I've ever had :) You're right though, salt water fish is tastier. I'll have to go salmon fishing when they come in from the ocean to spawn in the fall. That's the closest thing we get to saltwater fishing here. Purrs from Nermal to Mitzi & Bella!

Angelo, the fish looks really yummy, cooked...except, didn't you feel just a tad guilty eating him when he gets to look at you while he was alive and kicking?

I bet his girlfriend is all perplexed about missing his guy today. She's going to need therapy because she'll think she did something to drive him away when he just became a meal....And that has nothing to do with her!

Sup Homie,

The pics turned out great, espesh the one of the fish underwater. It was a great day... but not for those guys that caught nothing in the same spot! Amazing. We will fish soon fo sho.

lucas: when they don't bite is when it's relaxing hehe... I guess you don't like sushi then?

ya I told you I was revealing too much of my psyche haha!

Gina:Tony! hey man, good to "see" you! I would've liked to catch me a bass, but the conservation area stocks the ponds with trouts only. Thanks man, I hope you Gina and Bella are doing great.

Midas: Hey Shosh, I didn't feel guilty at all hehe, it was delicious. Some girl fish just need to learn that it's not always about them haha.

Good catch Doc ! The place is just absolutely beautiful. Love the green environment there. Marseilles is normally dry but this spring the area is greener and I am loving it. I would love to go fishing but I am not sure if I can catch big fish :( !

I've never been into fishing for quite a long time. A combination of bicycling and fishing is simply just what I'd like to do and I can't wait for my retirement to fullfill such wish...

Nice photos you got here, Angelo. I am amazed at how you can combine fishing and photography at the same time. Hehehe...

Congrats for the catch. I'm so poor when it comes to sports fishing actually...

[what ever happened to her shoe? and what is she a metaphor for?]

I really don't know. The image just materialized in my head. What do you think? Hmmm... I need someone to psycho analyze me. haha! :P

Angelo said...

Ghee: Yahoo Ally! Number 1! I almost forgot about your comment Ghee, I was so excited I went straight to your blog to see Ally's Sports day without even responding...

The fish was delicious Ghee! not as much tinik as a bangus, not no delicious bangus belly either. I went again on Tuesday and caught 3 more rainbow trout! will be having pritong isda for the weekend :9 I'd prefer sushi though Ghee, you're lucky, you live in the land of the rising sushi. I'd take that over trout any day.

oyasuminasai from me and Nerm.

The Nomadic Pinoy: Hey Nomad, it was a great day. Cheers!

Mel: Mel!!! Where you been?! Glad to see you back. Fo shizzle ma nizzle, let's go fishing! You won't feel bad after they've been fried :9

lucas: dude! don't get me started hehe...

lucas said...

oh maaaaaaan!!! hahaha! i was laughing while reading your explanation. so in short, my latest post, basically says I NEED TO GET LAID. hahaha! you're probably right. i need to find that shoe! hahaha!

makes me wonder what my other posts would mean...hmmm...

Thanks for that. It was really fascinating!
