Testicles

Testicles 01
I need to stop bitchin' about how I need a DSLR, but dude! I am so ready for one now.... my old point and shoot 5.1 MP Sony Cyber-Shot just isn't doin' it for me anymore.... not that I don't appreciate all the great shots it's taken for me over the years, but I've played with all it's settings already and I've reached the plateau of it's learning curve... I need more power, more control, more MP's.... as you can see from my sorry attempts at macros....
Testicles 02
They're not that bad actually, but they're not great.... I'm ready to learn how to do great... you know the kind of great where you take a picture of a bee pissing on a flower and the droplets of urine are captured splashing against the petals like crystal clear orbs of yellow quicksilver?...
Testicles 03
wish me luck on deciding which one to get and then scrounging up the money for it....
Testicles 06
Oh, I almost forgot.... about my title.... it's because "ORCHID" is Greek for "testicle".... so like in surgery, when you want to cut off a guy's ball, it's called an "ORCHIectomy".... if you want to cut off both his balls, then it's called "MARRIAGE"... oh sorry!, did I say that out loud?.... I meant "bilateral ORCHIectomy"....
Testicles 04
if you want to bring down a boy's un-descended testicle into his scrotum then it's an "ORCHIDopexy".... this is important to protect spermatogenesis and to make early detection of testicular malignancies more feasible as undescended testes are more predisposed to developing cancers compared to normally descended testes...
Testicles 05
so now you know.... and knowing is half the battle!

The title of your post intrigued me, Angelo, but as soon as I saw the orchids, I knew what you were about.

I know what you mean by a DSLR...I want one too! But the price...even on eBay...is a little bit too much at present. We live in hope...

hahaha!MARRIAGE??you got me eh?but wow,we had learned something new today!

the pictures and the flower themselves are awesome,Pom!although I can relate with your feeling.I tried to take a good shot of this very tiny green frog silently seated on a big leaf, the scene was so dramatic and artistic but it was a failure.the tiny frog itself was so blurred. :)

anyway, goodluck to finding a good camera!!looking forward to seeing more of your great photos!!

Nermal,purrrr :D

GI Joe!

That's actually very interesting because I've been told that the orchid actually looks like 'girl parts'. Hmm.

Ohayo Pom And Nermal! :)

I have macro setting I think but it didn`t work when I focus that much. That palaka was so neat and cute!I tried to capture a very tiny white frog din sa backyard,it`s kinda strange to see white "animals" diba? But I failed, ugh!i think i need a new cam but it wont happen soon :)

In fairness Pom,I dont think your shots are bad at all.those testicles are really great concept for macro.

ghee: cool Ghee, a white frog that's pretty exotic.... sana you get your macro setting to focus on that, it would be cool to see! thanks and oyasuminasai from me and Nermal!

Now i remember! thanks for refreshing my memory with those medical terms. for a moment, i was thinking-why testicles when you're speaking about flowers hehehehe!

nice macroshots! i'm a frustrated photographer! too bad i have no decent camera...

lucas: thanks and you're welcome bro... hey you could probably get some interesting shots from a pinhole camera so just play with what you got right?

Thank you for the quick "testicle" lesson. Those pictures look amazing! But it would be nicer to capture those great moments using a DSLR. And I want one, too! :p

These days I noticed that people here in Phils are taking great interest in photography, though some people would buy it so they would be "in" and would look "ma-porma". lol.

yeah..i guess you're right. no need for psychoanalysis but i always find myself curious, especially when i write something without any founded inspiration, because most of the time i write because of impulse.

you should watch it and kindle the kid in you. hehe!

Cheers to finding that shoe! Hehehe!

Mel: anytime Mel hehe and thanks. Ya digital photography has really made the hobby of photography more accessible to more people eh? I still remember the days of 35mm when I refused to go digital because unless I could hold the picture in my hands, it wasn't a real picture... what archaic thinking eh? Now I would kill for a DSLR, good luck to the both of us :)

lucas: hmmm, don't worry if I analyze something interesting in your writing, I'll let you know hahaha... those spur of the moment impulses probably reveal more about you psyche... haha damn shoes, can't live with them, can't live w/out them!

is: Thanks is, ya it's terrible, but so is having a testicular cancer, so don't be shy to self-examine for unusual lumps and masses hehe... sorry couldn't visit you back, but your link didn't work... cheers anyway!

Your macro shots look good they could actually be mistaken as having been from a DSLR! And that title of your post certainly arouses attention LOL!

mel said...

That was funny! Haha. My mom still prefer "real" pictures than digital ones. :)

KA, I want to own a polaroid camera! The one which produces a copy of the picture you've just taken. It's still available in the market right? :)

Angelo said...

The Nomadic Pinoy: Hey thanks Nomad! I thought my title would do that hehe...

mel: haha I guess I'm old school like your mom... well, I used to be old school! Oh no Mel, Polaroid doesn't make their cameras anymore and they just stopped making their film last year. If you can still find them on the market there then grab it! When I was 8 or 9 I got my first camera and it was a polaroid, I still have the very first picture I took, it was of a rainbow.... I miss polaroids they were awesome!

Very informative post. Nice macro photography, too! I understand you're requirement of a photography equipment. I wish for you an SLR that will meet your requirement...
