Put Your Lighters in the Air.... Let's Hear it for New York...

wassup yo!.... it's been way too long since I've updated this blog.... let's just say that I was preoccupied with the shit that's been going down....

I'm happy to report, however, that the dust around me has finally settled.... and my psyche is starting to breath a sigh of relief.... so let me update y'all....

for the past few months now, I have been officially living and working in the awesomeness that is New York City!

in June of last year, I came to live here temporarily.... my short and intermittent stays cemented my desire to be part of this concrete jungle.... after all, it's where dreams are made of.... for a time, I didn't think it was going to happen anymore, but as of June of this year, I am a temporary visitor no longer.... I crossed the border to officially live here.... for the next few years anyway... and I don't think I ever want to leave....

sometimes I have to punch myself in the jaw to see if I'm really actually here.... I walked out of the local Old Navy the other day to see the Manhattan skyline in the distance.... when I went to Ikea to furnish my apartment, I had to walk through Wall Street, hop a ferry that took me past the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty, then came back to be welcomed by the skyline of lower Manhattan.... it's all too surreal sometimes....

so in honour of my new home, here are just a few of the New York City scenes I've captured over the past year that I have been in and out of this Big Ass Apple...

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Folks, from a very thankful Canadian in New York City....

New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There’s nothin’ you can’t do
Now you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Let’s hear it for KA! KA! KA!

That was a very nice video. Im so glad you finally found your home sweet home. It's true that everything will really pay off after all the hardships, persistence mixed with patience and lots and lots of faith. I am so inspired by you! Thank you!

I wish you really well and continued success. And in case I'll be dropping a visit to US (Im always keeping my fingers crossed.), tour me around. :D

Mel: Hey Mel! That part of the song you just sang is bang on.... I hope you can come visit soon, the big lights will definitely inspire you....

Getting to your destination the long way round is better.... you'll learn more from the scenery along the way and be better for it.... hang in there and keep the faith.... wishing you all the best as well!

Hi, Angelo!
Thank you very much for sharing your slideshow of New York photos. Such a nice adventure, huh? I wish I can see these places too in my own eyes. Madison Square Garden is a very popular landmark and I surely wouldn't miss it.
I see you're doing well this time (whatever is that). I'm so happy knowing about it, my friend...
