Over so soon?

Wasn't I just blogging about how great the summer weather has been?.....then Labour day weekend comes along and BAAMMM!!....it suddenly feels like it's over.....This tree made me do a double take....I felt like I was in a KFC commercial.... to top it all off, I was walking down St. George St. right through campus at U of T.... all the freshmen were moving into their dorms getting ready for a new school year.... they get younger and younger every year.... arrgggghh....to quote Kurtz in the Heart of Darkness (or more popularly, Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now) "the horror, the horror".... has another year gone buy just like that?...... why am I so preoccupied by getting older lately?.... it's not even really my mortality, but the mortality of the people around me that worries me.... okay, this is getting depressing..... symptoms of pre-cabin fever, perhaps from the lack of sunshine and warm weather in the past few days.... I was wearing a sweater for pete's sake!..... on the bright side, autumn is a beautiful time of year, might as well enjoy it..... and so it begins..... Ya, I know it's not the cold weather that turns the trees different colours, but the declining amount of daylight, that causes the green chlorophyll pigments in the leaves to break down revealing other coloured photosynthetic pigments...... the sun sets by 7 PM for pete's sake..... okay, I'm exaggerating.... 7:30.... oh well, here's a big ass flower I saw in one of my wanderings around the city.... it made me think I was living in Hawaii for a split second..... let's just live in that second for a bit longer please.... (as I finish typing this, the rain has stopped and the sun is now shining....Deo Gracias)
