Nermal's Nemesis

Well, this being the Easter weekend, Nermal got a chance to see his new nemesis again. This is Nermal (doing his magnum pose).... And this is his nemesis....That's my nephew Aiden... Nermal prefers to run away and hide whenever Aiden is around, so I couldn't get a picture of them together. The last time Nermal sat still long enough so I could take their picture together, Aiden didn't do much moving around and made no noises.... and even back then Nermal didn't like him that much....Aiden must have been 3 or 4 months in that picture. Now that he's 17 months old he's a little more rambunctious. He gets very excited whenever he sees Nermal, and he will usually scream with glee and chase Nermal around. They both usually end up under the furniture....

I vow to one day get a picture of the two of them in peaceful harmony.... until then Nermal would like to wish everybody Peace and a belated happy Easter!

Happy folks! To visit more participants, click here:

A belated Happy Easter to Nermal, too! My kitties know the feeling of having their space invaded by little people, as well! They generally hide when my grandchildren are here, except for Socks, who hasn't had any bad experiences of getting her whiskers or tail pulled by little ones yet (let alone being chased around in general). There may be peaceful coexistence between Aiden and Nermal in the future, but I would give it a few years yet. :-)

I have a fifteen month-old who doesn't understand "gentle" yet. All of my six cats run away when they see her except for one. Nutmeg is either very optimistic or very stupid! Nermal is a lovely kitty!

omg, Nermal has the most fantastic expressions! and such plumage! rotfl

my cats aren't too fond of small children either--they move too quickly and make WAY too much noise. (no room for small 2-legged humans in their peaceful Hall of Justice! lol)

Poor Nermal had to support a little monster during easter ! Although the little monster is very cute ! I know how toddlers run behind the poor cats and terrorize them, strange is that Arthur doesn't move, he seems to be deaf to the screems and even let pet himself, only his tail is forbidden ! All others disappear and we are a house without cats !

A belated Easter to you too Nermal and to your human!

You look very handsome in the top photo Nermal. I don't blame you for hiding from the small person. I don't have any experience with them myself, but I'm told they can pull tails, carry you around like a doll, and even try to lie on top of you!

Susie used to displine Brook when Brook was that size. I swear she treated her like an unruly kitten!

Poor Nermal... small children are hard to deal with. I once had to put my daughter and her friend in the corner for fifteen minutes after I caught them trying to roll Clover down the stairs. Clover was fine... but it might be the reason why she is so grumpy... no, she was born grumpy!

Aiden reminds me of Chana. We used to have a Chow, and everytime she caught sight of him, she gets overly excited...shrieks, laughter and chasing, even when she could only crawl.

Nermal looks quite the aristocrat. You can understand why he wouldn't want to deal with a small, pink, yelly human. Though the picture of him next to the baby is nice. You can see he's thinking, "Just ignore it and it will go away...just ignore it and it will go away."

I love the contrast between the halo of silver hair and the indignant expression...

OMG Aidan is a living doll! I love that photo of Nermal and Aidan. It seems as if Nermal is watching over and caring for Aidan. You'll get that photo for sure!

Nermal loves to pose eh? :) Aiden is sooo cute and sooo cuddly. I can imagine them running around.. Aiden is chasing Nermal. Then he got Nermal's tail and tried to pulled him under the furniture. Lol. So funny.

Belated Happy Easter to you and thanks for keeping in touch. :)

Nermal is probably jealous of Aiden hehehe... They both look sooo cute in that picture, Angelo! Must have been a site when Nermal hides upon seeing Aiden hahaha

Was soo late to comment on this post. Was busy "renovating" friends' blogs :)

May the rest of your week be a blast, Angelo! Take care and God bless!
