Hypostomus plecostomus

Happy Philippe Friday folks.... Philippe III, my pleco and Mushu's janitor fish refused to pose for a picture unless I devoted an entire blog to him, instead of just being mentioned as Mushu's sidekick all the time.... so today is the first Philippe Friday.... also, he would prefer the title "practitioner of the custodial arts" or "custodial engineer", instead of janitor....

I didn't realize that what he meant by posing, was that he would scurry from one cave to the other.....
but I sneaked up on him in the middle of the night.... GOTCHA!!
Philippe 011
I'm sure Mel and Robyn won't appreciate Philippe's unique brand of handsome, but he's just going to get uglier as he gets bigger, so enjoy while it lasts.... look how cute he was two years ago.....
Philippe Baby Pic 01
those cute goldfish have since been converted into Mushu poop.....

Have a great weekend folks, from me, Philippe, Mushu, and Nermal....

You just gave me a good laugh on this. lol. Philippe looks more handsome than my dad's janitor fishes. Maybe you should tell him more often that he looks good (sometimes, lol) so he won't hide in his cave always.

Just a random wild guess: Nermal is up next? :)

Mel: Mel, Philippe says that flattery will get you everywhere... and yes Nermal's been bugging me to get some blog time, but I'm not sure when we'll get a chance to work on his next story, stay tuned na lang :)

Haze: Salut Haze! Philippe thanks you for appreciating his unique brand of handsomness. I think it's time for you to get your husband a new janitor.... errr custodial engineer fish.

Hehehe, a blog post entirely for Philippe, a very good looking fish!
In the Philippines, janitor fishes are ever increasing especially in Marikina River, and Laguna de Bay.
I was surprised to see that it was being eaten by some of the local residents.

Dennis Villegas: Hey Dennis, really? But they're not native to the Philippines? Must have been dumped into the waters from peoples' fish tanks? That's too bad. At least some people are willing to eat them, maybe that'll control their numbers... I wonder what they taste like...

Ummm, I've never seen one of those before...and no, I guess he's not what I call pretty, but prettier than Moshu (and I hope Moshu doesn't get a complex about his looks...I'm being honest here). But he has a very long Latin name, doesn't he? I prefer Philippe.

hahaha!I was wondering who and what Phillipe is!isnt he nice and cool?

Philippe probably is a Narcisist?Did i spell that right?

Ghee: Philippe says thanks Ghee, and he's pleased to make your acquaintance. He's actually very shy, and if he had a personality disorder it would be a paranoid or avoidant personality disorder rather than narcissism hehe... did I spell that right?
