Annoying

PSHunt

I found this week's theme a bit of a challenge. I finally found a pic that is "ANNOYING" on several different levels. It is a picture of Nermal's daily morning "annoy the human so that he'll wake up and feed me" ritual. It begins, as can be seen in the picture, with him lightly petting the human's face. He will then sit back and observe the human's reaction. He will continue to do this until the human either awakens, or turns their face away. If the human turns away, Nermal will proceed to pet the human's head, then push on the human's head. If the pushing is not sufficient to awaken the human, he will delicately dig a single claw into the human's scalp. This usually results in a yell from the human, he know's to try this only once. Nermal's final recourse is to continually lick the human's scalp. This usually does the trick, unless it is the weekend and the human needs to sleep in....in which case, the human buries their head under the covers or a pillow. Nermal understands this and will go back to sleep for another hour or so, after which the whole ritual is repeated again. The ritual ends with the human demanding that Nermal give him 5 or a high 5 before said human gets up. Nermal does not hesitate to comply.

My hair in this picture is also annoyingly too long, and it also annoys me that someone would take this picture while I was sleeping.

Happy Photohunting Folks!

Lovely annoyance ! I live this almost everyday. Especially one of my four cats is terrible ! She purrs so loud in my ears that it would wake up a death while she "bites" in and combs my hair and she never would give up until I get up to feed her and she ALWAYS wins !
Why don't you join "Cats on Tuesday" it's for cat lovers who write once a week about their cats. Infos are on my cat blog !

That's really a cute photo. I imagine that a cat can really be very affectionate but quite demanding at times. Thanks for sharing and dropping by my blog.

Great picture! Your commentary made me laugh out loud. As I type, I have an orange cat laying across my forearms. I know how you feel.

I can see how that ritual can be annoying. We have an old white cat by the name of Axle that would literally wait until you wake up, use the bathroom, brush your teeth and then as your exiting the bathroom that's when the annoying non meowing sounds come out begging for the water and food dish to be filled.

:)

Great photo....and gorgeous cat! And since I have 3, I can relate to your description of annoying. But they're ever so sweet otherwise. Determined little creatures though, aren't they?
Thanks for stopping by.

Angelo said...

Mar:lol thanks, fed him already, wouldn't be able to sit here otherwise :)

Roman: you're lucky at least Axle waits for you to wake up and do what you gotta do :)

Angelo said...

Thanks Terri, and I wouldn't have him any other way :)

Angelo, it's good that someone took this picture...coz now you have something to post this Saturday!

I had a cat growing up...actually, we have a whole bunch of them. I have 3 or four in my room and I'd wake up to them licking my face or sucking my ears. Those nails are really sharp!

it is annoying!

My is up too!

Shoshana: ya actually I'm glad the pic was taken, it worked out! and those nails are sharp, can't keep up with clipping them....

Sunflower: sure is! thanks for dropping by :)

LOL! That would be an annoying way to wake up. And I wouldn't want anyone to take a picture of me sleeping, either!

Great annoying post, both the annoying picture and the annoying long text. What's really annoying me with it is that I really enjoyed it.... *lol*

Cats really can be FUN - when I'm not the one in the pic!

Thanks for stopping by and welcome back at any time :-)

One of my cats pounds on the closed door to my room rhythmically. One sings like an opera star. One sits and stares at you. All very annoying when trying to sleep in.
Great picture.
Mine is up too.

Hi Angelo, what a cute story...
I am not participating this week coz I am stumped...gives me the chance to just lurk around and give comments like this one. Happy weekend to you.

Angelo de los Angeles said...

Caylyn: Thanks! He's rather effective though, he's not as easy to shut off like my alarm clock.

Pat: Thanks to you too :)

Barbara H.: it's alright, in fact it worked out for the hunt :)

Mrs. Lifecruiser: Thanks too, glad you enjoyed it :) You're right, it was annoyingly long, I didn't see that angle!! I'm annoyed at myself....

Uisce: lol mine to you as well :)

Josh: Wassssssup?!

srp: wow you get bombarded don't you! must be annoying :)

Abe/Happy: yah, he's a sweet cat :)

Leah: Glad you dropped by even if you didn't participate. I'm glad you sat out, I was getting worried from your T13 that you were gonna burn out on us! keep on blogging :)

Ah that is too funny. I love this picture. Of course, I'm not the one being annoyed! Our kitty just meows and meows at the top of her lungs until we give in and feed her. Annoying as well.

GREAT choice for the hunt.

Oh, that's so cute! Your cat is soooo adorable! Nermal's the cute kitten in Garfield diba? :)

Angelo de los Angeles said...

Pastormac's Ann: That sounds like a less annoying way to wake up, easier to ignore I guess :) Thanks for dropping by!

Toe: yup Nermal was Garfield's annoying, smart, goody-goody cousin who he tried to mail to the middle east :)
