From the Desk of Nermal de los Angeles

Nermal: My human, Angelo has been so busy lately that he's asked me to blog for him.... we're sorry we haven't played in so long, but it's hard to play on weekdays.... we miss visiting everybody's blogs.... I didn't realize how much hard work this blogging thing can be.... I hardly ever see him anymore, he usually leaves the house at 8:30 AM and doesn't come home until 10:30 PM! (I'm sure Oscar can relate).... He's even gone on Saturdays and Sundays. He leaves me food, but I'm still always hungry! He says he's gotta do some important stuff, but I sure do miss him. We get to play a little bit in the morning (after he feeds me of course).... I like to sneak up on him and go for his feet. He'll chase me, then I'll chase him. It doesn't last for very long coz then he goes on that pesky computer. When he has breakfast I try to get him to feed me whatever he's eating by begging and looking really sad coz I know he'll be leaving me by myself soon.... that usually does the trick ;)

I usually wait for him to come home at the front window.... When he comes through the front door I'm there with a big "meeeoow" and some rubbing and nudging.... with the formalities out of the way, I immediately lead him to my food bowl in the kitchen and beg for food.... sometimes he takes his sweet old time so I have to give him a bit of a "MEEOOOWWWW" while I'm begging.... I even offer him a high five if that will make him feed me faster! After dinner he's usually no where to be found.... what's wrong with this guy, he's gone for hours then just disappears after feeding me? I need to play guy!! I can usually find him in the bedroom watching t.v..... he usually leaves the door slightly ajar, so I just barge in without knocking.... he usually tells me that I should have knocked, but other times he just ignores me and continues to watch Stargate something or other.... in which case I tap him on his back and give a tiny and very pathetic sounding "meow".... that usually does the trick.... he'll usually feel sorry for me at this point, and will pick me up and scratch behind my ear and under my chin, to which I will purr and purr and purr.... I could do this for hours! man, I hope he finishes whatever it is he's doing that's so important SOON....

Poor, poor Nermal, you didn't educate your human properly, it's in his childhood you should have started ! Here are several tips which will work for sure to get his intention. Walk on the remote control and change the channel to the weatherforecasts. Walk on the keyboard and create files and folders he never heard of. Vomit just in front of him (one of my cats is doing this right now) And if all that doesn't help, do like Lisa, pee on the computer ! I am sure then he will remark your presence !

this reminds me of Salem (the talking cat in the show Sabrina the Teenage Witch!)... although you, Nermal, looks way better than Salem. ;) Let's both hope and pray that he gets done with whatever he is doing real soon... i think i know how it feels. Anyway, Nermal, you can always come over to my house, I'll feed you, play with you and cuddle with you all day long! *and never bring you back to your human* **evil laugh!

Nermal, you beg very nicely! You must be very lonely with your human gone for so long during the day!

I could purr for hours too. I hope your human devotes some play time to you soon!

My humans watch Stargate too.

Oh Nermal...you and I are brothers under the fur with our companions!

Although today my companion was home at lunchtime! We had fun, she threw my ball and I attacked her feet. Then she picked me up and I had lots of cuddles and scratches behind my ears and under my skin.

Then she was on the computer so I jumped up and walked on the keyboard and blocked her view to the screen. Got me another cuddle!

These humans are so hard to train though, aren't they? Never mind, Nermal, I'm thinking of you and sending you cat thoughts through the atmosphere (we cats are good at that!)

Sorry your master is working so hard. I completely understand....more than once I thought I was going to have to give up blogging completely. Glad you're still in it.

Poor little Nermal! Alone for so long each day!

I stay home with my kitties all day, usually. Some days I have hobby meetings, but they usually take this time to sleep.

Being pesty works well. My 3 have this down pat. tucker is best at it. He justs walks right up and nudges his way into whatever I'm doing. Blessing usually talks to me when I'm too busy. Punkin comes in and lays down on what I'm doing. LOL

dear Nermal, you are not alone! there are many human's human children who feel the same and beg the same...if these human's human children could only read this, they will be inclined also to purrrr...and ask for human attention!

Hi Nermal! Love your name! But I think a great solution would be to get you a friend! A kitten. Even a grownup cat that needs a home. Then you can both pester him! Cool, huh??
Hope it works!

What a sweet and patient kitty you are! How could you be resisted? But then, humans and computers are quite a difficult combination. ;-) My cats are kept out of my computer room, but Silver doesn't like it when I stand in front of the TV and watch it when he's wanting on my lap -- I get claws in my back. That gets my attention quickly!

That is one smart cat! I wish I had a cat who would blog for me too... but if I did, I'd probably jump in fright. :)
